Robert Infanger, President and CEO
Mr. Infanger currently serves as Senior Vice President, Institutional Fixed Income Sales, for First Tennessee Bank, Capital Markets, which he joined in 2002. From 1993 to 2002, Mr. Infanger was a Vice President of Institutional Fixed Income Sales for GMAC/RFC, First Tennessee Bank, and ABN/AMRO Bank. From 1983 to1993, Mr. Infanger held various sales and sales management positions with IBM Corporation in the company’s marketing department. Mr. Infanger received a B.S. with honors in electrical engineering from the University of Notre Dame in 1983, and an MBA in finance and statistics with honors from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business in 1995. Mr. Infanger received his CFA designation in 1996.
Ioannis Scarpa, Ph.D., Founder, Vice President, Director: Surface Chemistry
Dr. Scarpa is a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Zurich, Switzerland and completed his postdoctoral at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. Prior to joining APL, Dr. Scarpa was the Chairman of the Department of Biochemistry at Loyola University School of Dentistry, Maywood, Illinois. Dr. Scarpa is a bio-organic chemist and his expertise includes enzymes, catalysis, solid phase chemistry and carbohydrate chemistry.
Bozidar (Bob) Stipanovic, Ph.D., Founder, Vice President, Director: Material Science
Dr. Stipanovic is a Ph.D. In Organic Chemistry from the University of Belgrade, Yugoslavia and completed his postdoctoral fellowship at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. Prior to joining APL, he was a Co-Founder, Vice President and Manager of Santek Chemical, Inc., a specialty chemical manufacturer, that was in business for 10 years, before being sold to PPG Industries, a Fortune 500 Corporation.
Jim Cook, VP Sales and Marketing
Mr. Cook graduated from Illinois State University with a MS Degree in Biological Sciences. After University, he spent several years working in Cell Biology and Immunology at both Baylor University Medical School in Houston and Packard Instrument Company. Jim also has over 25 years of professional Sales and Marketing Management experience working for companies such as Amersham, Millipore, RITA Chemical and Dako.
Lori Foster, CFO
Ms. Foster graduated from Bentley College with a B.S. in Accounting. She has a varied background in corporate accounting and auditing ensuring that the company’s finances are reported accurately and procedures are proper and efficient.
Darko Brankovic, Director of Biological Manufacturing
Mr. Brankovic graduated from the Belgrade University School of Chemical Engineering in 1991. He has extensive experience with contract manufacturing under biological GMP conditions, and process development. He worked at MediChem Research, Inc. (Lemont, IL) for five years as a project manager. He then joined Regis Technologies, Inc. (Morton Grove, IL) in 1998, and applied his knowledge in contract manufacturing as a lead production chemist developing scale-up processes for drugs and drug intermediates.
Martin J. Griffin, Ph.D., Manager of Production and Quality Assurance
Dr. Griffin is a Ph.D. In Biochemistry from University of Chicago, Illinois and conducted postgraduate studies at the Department of Biochemistry at MIT, Massachusetts. He completed his postdoctoral work at the Department of Medicine, at New York University, New York. He spent over 20 years as a Group Leader at the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation where he performed research on mammalian cell membranes and their relation to cancer cells.
